Spectra (“the Extension”) is a Chrome browser extension that helps you inspect colors, typography, technology stack, and SEO/meta information on websites you visit. This policy explains what information the Extension accesses and how it is handled.
When you open Spectra on a page you are viewing, the Extension may read:
This access occurs only when you interact with the Extension (open the popup or rescan). The Extension does not run in the background on pages you are not inspecting.
chrome.storage.session so the popup can reopen quickly. This data is
cleared when the browser session ends.
localStorage inside the Extension popup.
No scan data is synced to the cloud or shared with third parties by the Extension.
The Stack tab may load technology icons from
Simple Icons via
cdn.simpleicons.org. Those requests are standard image fetches and do not
include page content from the site you are inspecting.
We do not sell, rent, or trade user data. If you use the built-in export/download feature, the file is saved to your device by your browser — we do not receive a copy.
The Extension is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy when the Extension changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
